Adventure activities
Towns near Montsonís, like Àger and Vilanova de Meià, are considered as two of the Catalan capitals of the sports of free flight, such as paragliding or delta wing . The particular microclimate is ideal to practice this sport, so ideal that national and international championships have been celebrated. There is a school with monitors of this sport, renting spaces to be used as landing fields.
The practice of canoeing in the reservoir of Sant Llorenç de Montgai is another attractive option of the area. The boats can be rented through the Association Piragüística of Balaguer. And, apart from practicing sport, the reservoir of Sant Llorenç is also a fantastic place for spending leisure time with the family and children.
Usually, those who like mountain bike find great routes around the Montsec. A proposal is to start from Àger and go around the mountain; arriving at the "Cuello de Ares", with more than 1000 meters of difference in altitude. Once we get there, we can admire all the Pyrenean Catalan and the Aragonese mountains. The narrow pass of the Mont-Rebei (an impressive cut done made into the rock not recommended for those who have vertigo), is another possibility.
The Route of the Dolmens, in Alt Urgell, can also be done by bicycle, on foot or in four wheel drive vehicles. It is an itinerary of 27 kilometres very well signposted. The route starts in Organyà, from which we follow the road of the valley of Cabó. On the way we will see several megalithic monuments.

Cultural activities
Walking through the paved streets of Montsonís is to immerse oneself in a world where common reality ceases to be. It's a jump in time, a well-preserved black-hole which roots its life philosophy in the past.
